I agree that green tea is delicious, healthy and I’m even drinking it right now, but I would like to remind you gals that everything must be in moderation.

One side effect of drinking tea is diminished iron absorption. Sure, a few cups are no problem, but if any of you are drinking this like it’s magic, it might cause an iron deficiency. 

So, make sure to drink your tea at least 1 hour after your meal, to optimize your iron absorption. Also, vitamin C helps with iron, so don’t be afraid to get a nice fruit as dessert to help with the iron. If you’re vegetarian, or even vegan, you should know that you need 1.8 times the iron of an omnivore, because iron in meat is easier to access in the body. Bottom line, be careful with the iron ladies, because it is a very common deficiency for us.
